Classes on Demand
This is something new we are going to start in February. Instead of scheduling classes as we have in the past we are going to let you tell us what you would like to learn. Thus the idea of Classes on Demand. We will set aside time from 11:30-3:00 every Tuesday where we will be able to schedule private classes with individuals or small groups.
Thought we’d mix it up a bit. We’ll see how this goes.
As always come and unwind with us on Tuesday evenings and Thursday mornings for open knit and crochet.

How time flies.
Seems just yesterday we were all lamenting how it was just too hot to knit, well how that has changed. But oh isn’t it nice how all the leaves are changing and there is a little nip in the air and it is down right comfortable to spend extended amounts of time with yarn.
Speaking of… We have some new arrivals you must see and feel. And you may want to take some home so you can spend some extended time with it making something warm for the Michigan Winter that it ahead of us.
We have some wonderful Malabrigo, 100% wool, kettle dyed yarn. The colors are amazing not to mention it is so soft.

Also in is–Jo Sharp Tweed. Very nice!

Trunk Shows
We have some revolving Trunk Shows that we want to tell you all about. Rowan and Vittadini are keeping us up to date with wonderful samples of what can be done with their fibers. Come in and take a look at these wonderful garments and get inspired. Below is a beautiful sweater done in Kid Silk Haze.

Classes
We have posted our November Classes, check them out and remember we can always schedule private classes as well.
A Note
Last month there was a little confusion with open knit on Tuesday nights. Because of the Red Scarf Project we mixed up the schedule a bit and there was a little confusion. This month things should be back to normal! Hope to see everyone there.

At Lizzie Ann’s we have decided to focus one whole week to a very special cause. It is called The Red Scarf Project. It was started in 2005 by the Orphan Foundation of America as a way of showing community support and encouragement to college-bound teens in foster care.

The saying goes that no one is really an orphan—and children in foster care, more than anyone else, need tangible reminders that they, too, belong to the human family and are cared about.
In that spirit we will be collecting scarves, made by you, all week to be sent on to the Orphan Foundation of America to help with the Red Scarf Project as well as having an all day KNIT IN, Tuesday, October 9, 10:00am-9:00pm at Lizzie Ann’s.
Please come join us for some knitting and crochet fun as well as providing a wonderful scarf for someone who will undoubtedly appreciate it. Bring yarn that has been sitting in your stash for too long and hasn’t seen the light of day for a while. It doesn’t have to be red but bring some red to put in it!
Hope to see you there!!!
